Reminiscent of the carefree cord and beaded jewellery we wore as teens in the 90s and 2000s, cord pendant necklaces are having a fashion moment. Recently spotted on Jennifer Lawrence during her press tours as well as Emily Ratakowski and Paloma Elsesser for beach getaways, we expect this look to gain even more popularity as we move into Summer.

Our London design team has taken the cord jewellery concept and given it a contemporary Otiumberg twist. Our capsule collection of contemporary cord pieces with a laid-back look is perfect for the everyday, as well as layering with chains and pendants to create a unique look.

The Otiumberg cord jewellery collection includes the bestselling Cord Knot design. This signature necklace is an extension of our Knot necklace Collection and combines with these precious metal pieces beautifully. Choose from either the solid sterling silver or gold vermeil knots.

How should I care for cord jewellery?

Otiumberg cord jewellery is a hard-wearing collection, however there are some simple steps to take to maintain it and keep it looking its best for years.

If your cord gets dirty simply clean with a warm, damp cloth. If your piece features gold vermeil or solid gold detailing, gently rub this part with a gold cloth. Likewise sterling silver should be gently cleaned with a silver cloth on this part of your necklace only.

  It is important that you do not submerge your cord jewellery in water or wear it in the shower or the sea.

The Cord Knot collection doesn’t offer an adjustable closure and instead is tied with a standard knot, Please ensure you double knot your cord to avoid losing your cord necklace.
