Gold vermeil is a technique from the 19th century that applies thick layers of gold onto a sterling silver base (2.5 microns to be exact). At Otiumberg we ensure our gold plate matches the golden hue of our solid gold pieces, so that you can mix and match the full collection effortlessly.

About Sterling Silver

Our recycled sterling silver is a very durable and beautiful metal. The metal is made up of 92.5% pure silver with the addition of an anti-tarnish solution that keeps the design pristine for years to come.

Recycled Gold & Silver

Our precious raw metals are from 100% recycled sources certified for their quality by the Responsible Jewellery Council and London Bullion Market Association. By opting for recycled metals, we gain greater transparency over our source and lighten our CO2 footprint by over 60%.
Responsibly Handcrafted

We have worked with the same specialist jewellery workshops from the very beginning. Our Indian and Thai workshops employ skilled craftsmen to hand make every element of our pieces. We know the teams well and have both workshops regularly audited. We love to share that our Thai workshop is made up of 70% women, with an exclusively female management.
Circular Mindset

We are committed to circularity and believe jewellery is a unique format with which this is truly possible. From our non-seasonal design and long-lasting recycled raw materials to our recycling and repairs initiative, we hope to encourage a new circular mind-set amongst our peers and consumers.
Say no to plastic

We have been working to eliminate the plastic we don’t need in our supply chain, and innovate on the plastic we do need so that it is safely reused, recycled or composted. Our packaging has no foam or plastic, and we receive each piece from our workshops in biodegradable cellulose film bags.
Carbon Neutral

By using a Life Cycle Assessment format, we have calculated the carbon footprint of our designs from workshop to customer. This approach gives us the data we need to lighten our footprint and off-set accurately.
